“Said the first little chicken,
With a queer little squirm,
‘I wish I could find
A fat little worm’”

TIME: 9:18 AM
PLACE:  Tractor Supply Store
SUBJECT:  Pullets

I am in charge of obtaining fast growing grass seed and potting soil for the Daisy meeting on Monday.  The plan is to have the girls plant the seed in recycled flat containers for a very Spring-y grass centerpiece.  I figured the Tractor Supply store would be the best place to procure the supplies.  When I walked in, I saw a sign that Spring is not too far off – there on the floor were several galvanized containers of chicks and ducklings available for purchase.  Oh how I wish we could keep chickens at our house, but we live inside the city limits and unfortunately, it is not allowed.  I would love to be able to own a few hens and have me some fresh eggs for breakfast every morning.
