SUBJECT: Magnetic measuring spoons
I just purchased these today. They are measuring spoons from the Martha Stewart collection at Macys. They have magnetic strips so they stack neatly and will stay together in the drawer. They are also two sided; one end has rounded spoons and the other end has narrower ones to fit into spice jars. Sadly, this little purchase is making me ridiculously happy. I really need a life.

I purchased this wind chime made from old silverware at a craft fair I attended with my mom waaay back in 1993 or 1994. They hang from the splayed tines of two forks with fishing line. It doesn't make a loud sound, nor is it particularly melodious chime. Also, I am continuously un-tangling the lines…even so, I do like it and it stays on my porch all year long.

SUBJECT: StellaDella and Shayne
We had a one-day-early Easter dinner with the family this afternoon at my brother’s. After we ate, my niece, Brandi and DramaQueen hid eggs outside for the younger cousins to hunt. The kids found all of them just as some rain storms came into the area again. They came inside and played several games of Uno, while Aunt J. French braided The Shayne’s and SD’s hair. Then, the two girls demonstrated what natural ability and talent they had by balancing spoons on their noses. ~*~*~ Oh, and do you see that third eye Miss Shayne has on her forehead? That’s from her brother accidently hitting her with a golf club last week Sunday. It won her a trip to the ER and some surgical glue.

SUBJECT: Osteospermum hybrid “Soprano Lilac Spoon”
StellaDella’s Daisy troop had a field trip after school to the garden center which is a little over a block away. They learned about the difference between annuals and perennials, what plants need to grow and examined several berry and vegetable plants. At the end, they all potted a marigold to take home. I spotted this flower and loved the shape of the bloom. And it was in my favorite color – purple.
