We Drove 6 Hours for This? (286/366)

TIME: 12:19 pm
PLACE: Near Charity, MO
SUBJECT: Toilet Garden

*~*~*

The husband passed this one day delivering brewer's grain to a farmer.

He drove me and a very grumpy, sulky teenager 3 hours so I could take a picture.

Then it was another 3 hour drive back.

I did take pictures of other things, but this was the main reason he wanted to take the trip.

*~*~*

A local florist has $10 bouquets on Thursdays.

I asked demanded that my husband go get one for me.

Supper in Sebastopol (252/366)

TIME: 4:18 pm
PLACE: Ramen Gaijin, Sebastopol
SUBJECT: Hitodama & Shiitake Miso Ramen

*~*~*

We drove to Sebastopol to do some antique shopping.

Then, since we were hungry and didn't eat lunch, we made an old person's 4:00 pm dinner reservation (when they opened) at Ramen Gaijin.

Good stuff.

This gal sat next to me on the bench seating.

I'm not sure if it was because she liked me or just wanted the flowers that were in my drink - In either chase, I gave them to her anyway.

I also let go of my "Where's George" bill here as part of the tip - we'll see if anyone else logs him in.

Objects Are Closer Then They Appear (148/365)

TIME: 8:07 PM
PLACE:  Front steps
SUBJECT:  Broken mirror

Just like Claudia, we bought James a car for his 16th birthday.

From the proverbial little old lady’s car who only drove it on Sunday.

Except we knew the little old lady.

The vehicle was well-maintained and the price was exactly what we had paid for Claudia’s car, so we jumped on it.
So far, so good.  Well, except for the passenger’s side mirror glass which fell off and broke.
Still, not a huge issue…we ordered a new one from eBay.

Today would have been Mom’s 73rd birthday.

How I miss that woman.

Claudia and I went to the cemeteries and left flowers for my mom, grandmothers, a great-grandmother and an Aunt.

20150510 IMG_6067
And Stella blew bubbles that sat on the porch rug and looked like peppermints.
