SUBJECT: Table & Chairs
*~*~*
We had sun and warmer weather today!
Even though it is warmer, outdoor dining would still be a bit brisk and not really a good option.
Luckily, the state is in Phase 4 and we can dine indoors again.

TIME: 8:54 PM
PLACE: Front of St. Mary’s Church
SUBJECT: Door & shadows
It was very hot today, so we needed to wait until it cooled a bit before tonight’s walk with Mulder. So it commenced a little later than usual.
It worked out well.
The lights in front of the church made great shadows on the front door.
TIME: 8:48 PM
PLACE: Living Room
SUBJECT: Banana Tree
The horticulture club at our local college had their annual plant sale.
I purchased a banana tree.
I named him Burt.
TIME: 5:02 PM
PLACE: Backyard
SUBJECT: Shadows on garage
We actually had sunshine today!
The late afternoon shadows looked a little blue - I guess they are sad about returning to tomorrow too.
TIME: 6:37 PM
PLACE: The Bullpen
SUBJECT: Shadows on the stage
The Husband and I went to a comedy show/benefit tonight.
Too bad we didn’t get to see it.
I got a migraine and we left right before the show started.
TIME: 1:46 PM
PLACE: Work
SUBJECT: Outdoor patio
I like to eat a late lunch, usually about 1:30 or later.
This way, when I’m finished, I’ve only about 2 hours of work until I get to leave for the day @ 4pm.
I opted to eat outside today – it was warm, but I was alone and the shadows were nice and crisp on the ground..

Even the smooth stones ache
With stories of their own

PLACE: Back yard
SUBJECT: Fence shadow on rock
It was overcast most of the day.
But a tiny bit of sun peeped out just long enough to cast this shadow.
Now it is storming.

PLACE: Downtown
SUBJECT: Start of the Tour de Belleville
It’s the 2nd Friday in July.
That means it’s time for the annual bike ride through the city streets.
The theme this year was the “Belle Villey Hillbillies”. (Clever, no?)
This year, we (the 5 of us, along with my Dad, Brother and nephew) made sure we were at the head of the crowd.
We finished the 15 miles in about an hour and 20 minutes.
Then it was time for a beverage.
The streetlight caused shadows to be cast by the metal outdoor table.
It looked like I was wearing fishnet knee socks.
TIME: 8:23 PM
PLACE: Around town
SUBJECT: “No Parking” sign
I liked the shadows of the words painted on the window.
We parked there for about 15 minutes while we procured our ice cream.
No window is going to tell us what to do.
We are such rebels.
TIME: 5:49 PM

Last week at this time?
The snow was falling.
Today, it reached a high of 66 degrees.
Oh yes.

TIME: 8:07 PM
PLACE: Backyard
SUBJECT: Rake and bee enclosure
The snow on the ground emphasizes the shadows in the backyard from the street light in the alley.
There may be no snow on the ground by tomorrow evening.
Tonight, it is suppose to rain & sleet.
Tomorrow they are predicting a high of 52 degrees.
Last night I lay in bed looking up at the stars in the sky and I thought to myself, "Where the heck is the ceiling?!"

TIME: 7:07 PM
PLACE: Living room
SUBJECT: Patterns on the freshly plastered ceiling
I turned out the overhead light and turned on a table lamp in preparation to leave the house for HH’s birthday dinner.
(Sushi)
(He’s 59 today!)
HH pointed out the shadows and light on the ceiling.
Isn’t it pretty?

SUBJECT: Rock salt
Our parking lot was salted in anticipation of the icy mix we were supposed to receive overnight.
It turned out not to be necessary.
