They needed someone over 17 to buy the tickets.
Normally, if an adult buys the tickets, they are allowed to go in the theatre and the adult doesn't need to accompany them.
That wasn’t flying with the management tonight.
Guess who had to sit through the damn movie?
Lucky me.
I swear, I was the oldest person in that room.

Dana - Eh...lots of "jumpable" moments, which is what teens seem to like. Oh, and the disturbing violence and profanity. ;)
On the plus side, Ethan Hawke played one of the main characters, so there was that at least.
