Not Pronounced The Way You Think (069/366)

2012 03 09 IMG_1867w
“Life is a foreign language: all men mispronounce it”

Christopher Morley (American writer and editor 1890-1957)

TIME:  8:52 PM
PLACE:  Refrigerator
SUBEJCT:  Hoegaarden Belgium beer

First off, yes - I did buy this beer solely because of the name.  And yes -   I giggle like a 12 year old at the grocery store, when I saw it.  It was a pretty good tasting beer though.  And for your information?  It is pronounced “hoo-gar-duhn”

April Tree (116/365)

2010 04 26 IMG_6302w
"April prepares her green traffic light and the world thinks Go."

Christopher Morley, John Mistletoe

TIME:  4:12 PM
PLACE:  Front yard
SUBJECT:  Red Sunset Maple tree

What a difference a month makes.  The leaves have exploded since March.  (I expect we will be tired of the green by the time September rolls around.)   No blue sky today though.  Rain is in the forecast for this evening.  The kids are going with Grandpa to the Cardinals baseball game tonight - I hope that the rain holds out until the game is over.
