I purchased this trunk about 2 months ago at an estate sale for $12 – sweet! – plus it has loads of character. My plan is to sand it down to the bare wood, stain it, apply a protective poly coating and use it as our coffee table. Of course, to do that, I needed to buy a new random-orbital sander. A Makita BO5030K. I’m liking it. Who knew that I would find removing paint to be so soothing?
