Crow #3: Ah, I've seen a dragon fly.
Crow #4: Hee-hee. I've seen a house fly.

TIME:  3:57 PM
PLACE:  Front porch
SUBJECT:  Horsefly

The lone photo I took today…a large horsefly that landed on the hutch sitting on my front porch.  I snapped this one picture and he flew away.  Now I’m going to be a “fly on the wall” and stalk read my daughter’s Facebook page.  She was not happy (many tears were flowing) with the 8th grade class schedule she received at orientation tonight.  Reading what she posts to her wall gives me much more information than what she tells me directly.  Pesky teenager.

TIME:  8:47 AM
PLACE:  Work
SUBJECT:  A spider eating some flies

As I was walking into the office building this morning, I met up with a secretary who works for another lawyer down the hallway.  She pointed to the crab apple tree and said “Did you see our office mascot up there, that huge spider?”  I turned and spotted him in the branches.  It looked like he chose a good spot for his web, as it was covered in flies.  The secretary and I talked a bit more and we both were of the opinion that he was a pretty cool spider ~ just so long as he stayed outside and didn’t visit us in the office building.

SUBJECT:  Moonbean Coreopsis & a fly

Another hot, hot day.  I worked this morning as I couldn’t make it in on Monday due to MonkeyBoy’s doctor’s appointment.  Came home and sorted the ever present mountain o’laundry in the basement.  Tthe kids had folded the whites while I was at work (woo-hoo!) and cleaned their rooms, which was great, but resulted in even MORE laundry to do.  I mean, why should they hang up the clean clothes that are lying on the floor when it is so much easier to smash the clothes into a ball and throw them in the wash?  Grrrr.  I felt a migraine coming on late in the afternoon and lay down after supper.  The nap didn’t help and about 7:30, I realized that I did not have a picture yet for the day.  Crap.  So I drug myself out of bed and went for the old reliable – the flower photo.
