SUBJECT: Squirrel
*~*~*
My sister-in-law gave me the corn from her decorative corn stalks for the squirrels.
They found it right away and made a gigantic mess on my porch.

We received a pretty hard down pour just now.
It’s still light out and the sky looks pretty cool.

Stella gave me this windchime for Mother’s Day.
A spider has spun a web on part of it and caught a feather.

Mama dove is no longer here – one egg disappeared from the nest last week (probably squirrels), and we found the shell of the other laying by the nest today.
Poor mama.

SUBJECT: Mourning dove
Here is Momma Dove, sitting on her eggs.
She has gotten to the point where she will not fly away when we go in and out of the front door.
She even let’s place some birdseed on the shelf for her.
But we still can’t get too close; her comfort zone is about a 2-3 foot distance.

You are lazy, overweight, steal food from the garbage can, are getting by the day and shed way too much.
But you are a good dog.
Happy Dog Day!
Weave me a rope that will pull me through these impossible times.

SUBJECT: Rope
HH and MonkeyBoy removed the rotten treads from the front porch this afternoon.
The husband then stretched a rope across the top and bottom of the stairs to discourage anyone from taking any big, and more than likely, injurious steps off of the porch.

SUBJECT: Robin
This young robin landed on our porch. It then pooped several times, hopped down the steps to the sidewalk and fluttered away.

These guys are waiting to be re-potted in my big blue planter. I had more important things to do tonight…like go to happy hour with my co-workers and drink a margarita on the rocks.
