Outdoor Dining Still Not Optimal (051/365)

TIME: 2:05 pm
PLACE: Downtown
SUBJECT: Table & Chairs

*~*~*

We had sun and warmer weather today!

Even though it is warmer, outdoor dining would still be a bit brisk and not really a good option.

Luckily, the state is in Phase 4 and we can dine indoors again.

Oh Hell No (335/366)

TIME: 8:42 am
PLACE: Outside
SUBJECT: Snowflakes on my car

*~*~*

I took the dogs out and there were flurries.

Flurries! WTF?

I am thankful that they didn't stick around.

So not ready for any white stuff to be falling from the sky.

He Gets to Sleep In (323/366)

TIME: 8:19 am
PLACE: Bedroom
SUBJECT: Mulder

*~*~*

He gets to stay in bed while I get up to go to work.

Granted, I am working from home, which means I have been waking up about 45 minutes later than I used to when I had the 30 mile commute.

Still - sometimes I get a bit jealous of his leisurely life.

He does have to poop outside though - so maybe I don't have it too bad.

Rainy Night in the Drive Thru (319/366)

TIME: 7:34 pm
PLACE: Fazoli's Drive Thru
SUBJECT: Rearview mirror

*~*~*

Rainy Saturday today.

HH spent the day replacing the furnace at the rental house.  He came home about 4:30 and went to bed as he had to be up at 12:30 am to drive the truck.

StellaDella and I went to the JoAnn's to pick out fabric for a project I am planning to give DQ at Christmas.  We stopped at Saver's (thrift store) as well.  Might as well live it up before they close everything up again!

We also dodged a ton of rain each time we exited the car.

We were out a bit longer than I expected.  I had chicken marinating at home to bake for supper, but since it was so late, we stopped at Fazoli's to pick something up to eat.  I'll make the chicken tomorrow instead.

It was pouring again while we were in line. The headlight's of the car behind me lit up my the raindrops on my rearview mirror

Halloween Decor (282/366)

TIME: 5:09 pm
PLACE: Front Door
SUBJECT: DIY Wreath/Door decor

*~*~*

Here is the Halloween "wreath" in its final form that I alluded to in this post.

Not the most clever/awe-inspiring/unique thing out there, but I am satisfied with my effort.

Two Cats (271/366)

TIME: 9:16 am
PLACE: Living room
SUBJECT: Jack

*~*~*

I was able to talk to my boy this morning - had him on speakerphone so the husband and StellaDella could hear and speak as well.

Jack-Jack watched us as we talked and I Snapchatted his photo to Monkeyboy as well.

TIME: 5:48 pm
PLACE: Driveway
SUBJECT: Cat silhouette on cardboard

*~*~*

I am attempting to make a Halloween wreath/door decoration with a witch broom from the Target dollar spot, and artificial flowers, witch hat picks and a wooden cat figure from the Dollar Tree.

I spray painted the artificial flowers and cat figure with black spray paint and ended up making a little silhouette of a cat on the cardboard in the process
.

I haven't put the whole thing together yet - waiting on the paint to completely dry - we'll see if my idea is any good.

First Snow of 2018 (005/365)

IMG_4907_e
TIME: 8:01 AM
PLACE: Driveway
SUBJECT: Snow on car roof

We received a light dusting of snow very early this morning.

I know it was early in the morning because when I was up at 3am to let the dogs out I saw it on the ground.  It wasn’t there when I went to bed earlier.

It’s still very cold.

For the Birds (212/365)

20150731_IMG_2636
TIME: 8:25 PM
PLACE: Chesterfield, MO
SUBJECT: Birds on wires

The girls and I went to the Premium Outlet mall in West County to look for some outfits for Claudia’s senior pictures.
On the way out of the parking lot, we could see thousands of birds sitting atop the electrical wires.
I bet all the bird poop was in a row on the ground too.

Hatbox (149/365)

TIME: 4:06 PM
PLACE:  Front porch
SUBJECT:  Shriner’s hatbox

The annual Shriner’s parade is this evening.
I volunteered to ride with the husband, but he told me he already asked a friend of his.
(I dodged a bullet there!)
All three kids had their own plans, so I met my cousin and an old grade school/high school friend for beers instead.

Ironwork

TIME: 6:08 PM
PLACE: Bella Milano, Edwardsville, IL
SUBJECT:  Table

HH and I went out to eat – no kids.

The place where we originally wanted to go (Gulf Shores Restaurant & Grill) had an hour wait.

We were impatient and hungry.

So we went for Italian instead.

Permanent Marker–1, Dryer–0 (314/366)

2012 11 09 IMG_7485w
TIME:  6:48 AM
PLACE:  Basement
SUBJECT:  Dryer

See what happens when a permanent marker makes its way through the washer and then the dryer with its cap off?  You don’t want to see the clothes that were in the load with the damned thing.  Here’s praying that the Magic Eraser lives up to its name….

TIME:  11:54

We go through more cell phone chargers than Carter has pills (I’ll just let you Google that expression if you’ve never heard it before).  I had to buy DQ yet another one this evening.

All That Is Left (235/366)

2012 08 21 IMG_6031w
“In order to know whether a human being is young or old, offer it food of different kinds at short intervals. If young, it will eat anything at any hour of the day or night.”

~Oliver Wendell Holmes (American Physician, Poet, Writer, Humorist and Professor at Harvard, 1809-1894)

TIME:  9:57 PM
PLACE:  Kitchen
SUBJECT:  Container of Oreo cookies

These cookies were purchased at 7:11pm from Target.  This is what is left after being at our house for 2 hours and 46 minutes.  Moral of the story?  If you want an Oreo at our house, you need to be quick.

TIME:  7:49 PM
PLACE:  Shopping center parking lot
SUBJECT:   MonkeyBoy

It was MB”s turn to go back-to-school clothes shopping tonight.  It is such a different shopping experience with my boy than when I go with DramaQueen.  He picked out this t-shirt at Kohl’s and insisted on wearing it right away.

Wet Pavement (211/366)

Sir Terence David John "Terry" Pratchett (British, Comic fantasy Novelist, b1948)

TIME:  11:30 AM
PLACE:  Parking lot
SUBJECT:  Parking lot wet pavement

Look at that - we had rain this morning!  Unfortunately, after DQ and I walked back out of the mall at 2:30pm after doing some back-to-school shopping, it was all dry.  It didn’t even look as if it had rained at all.

A quick post this evening – I liked the contrast of the red and black milkweed bug on the yellow flower.
