Sticks, Sides & Wires (305/366)

TIME: 11:50 am
PLACE: Yard
SUBJECT: Scully and stick

*~*~*

Scully tried to help me out a bit as I moved a large branch that had fallen, from the front part into the fenced-in area of the yard.

She was determined to carry that branch for me.

It didn't happen.

PLACE: Local tavern

We decided not to hand out candy at home this Halloween - we figured with all that is going on, we wouldn't get many trick-or-treaters.  As an alternative, HH and I sat in the parking lot of a local bar and participated in a "Trunk or Treat" from 3 pm to 6pm.

There was actually a large turnout. We went through 4 large bags of candy! (about 500 pieces total)  It was nice that the kids were able to collect a lot of treats despite the stupid COVID.

And, just because I liked the pattern made by these power line wires, I am including this photo today as well.

Consider it a bonus!

For the Birds (212/365)

20150731_IMG_2636
TIME: 8:25 PM
PLACE: Chesterfield, MO
SUBJECT: Birds on wires

The girls and I went to the Premium Outlet mall in West County to look for some outfits for Claudia’s senior pictures.
On the way out of the parking lot, we could see thousands of birds sitting atop the electrical wires.
I bet all the bird poop was in a row on the ground too.

“And teII him to bring some chicken wire!”

The Lady is Willing, Columbia Pictures Corp, 1942.

TIME:  7:00 PM
PLACE:  Back yard
SUBJECT:  Garden fence

The HH and MB put up a fence around the garden Monday afternoon to keep the critters out.  The “critters” mainly being our dog, because I’m positive that any rabbits around here will be sure to find a way in.  Chicken wire, green posts and red zip ties were utilized in this endeavor.
