The local Scottish Rite is downsizing and selling their building and contents.

The content sale was today.  HH and I picked up a few things.

While there, I wandered into the auditorium/theatre to check out the colorful seating and flooring one last time.

HH is detailing his Corvette.

He removed the seats to clean the leather.

They are currently sitting on our kitchen chairs.

Time for our yearly ice-cream social at work.

We obeyed the sign and sat outside instead.

I think it would have been slightly uncomfortable.

The girls and I went to see the remake of “Poltergeist”
I remember watching the original on HBO when I was 15.
The remake was not as good at the first one…although, I did think Sam Rockwell did a great job (loved him since his role as Wild Bill in “The Green Mile”)
I need to get them to see the original.

We went to the 9:05 pm showing of Tim Burton’s “Frankenweenie” and ended up being the only people in the theatre.  We’re special…or we stink and nobody wanted to be in there with us.  Naaah – I’m going with special.

MonkeyBoy has been attending a soccer camp for the past 8 or so Monday evenings.  Tonight was his last session.  I sat my derriere on this chair, drank an iced tea and watched.

HH and I went to the ballpark tonight to watch the Cardinals-Cubs baseball game.  It was a soupy night at the old stadium ~ very muggy and very hot.  In fact, when we left at 9:45pm the temperature was still 88 degrees.  Good game though…the Cards were victorious over the Cubs 6 to 3.
