Paul Blart: Nobody knows this mall better than I do.

Paul Blart: Mall Cop, Columbia Pictures, 2009.

TIME:  8:55 PM
PLACE:  The mall
SUBJECT:  Shiny, reflective floor

DQ and her cousin were supposed to go to a mixer at a high school in St. Louis Friday night with a friend of theirs.  It had a “neon” theme and we made plans to go to the mall tonight to buy some neon clothing.  However, the tickets were sold out.  She still wanted to go mall anyway and whined asked until I gave in.  *sigh* It ended up costing me dearly.

Mr. Salt
: What is this, Wonka? Some kind of funhouse?
Willy Wonka: Why? Having fun?

Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory. Writ. Roald Dahl. 1971. Warner Bros.

TIME:  8:35 PM
PLACE:  Target bathroom
SUBJECT: Xlerator hand dryer
(taken with my cell phone)

DramaQueen had freshman orientation at the high school this evening.  I cannot believe that my oldest will be in high school this fall.  I DID manage to embarrass her several times during the evening.  That’s my job.  After, we went to Target to pick up a few items.  I had to use the facilities before we started to shop.  I’m looking like a Weeble in this reflection.  That is NOT what my physique is like – honest!

Restaurant Tile (263/365)

2011 09 20 IMG_0828w
“I went to this restaurant last night that was set up like a big buffet in the shape of an Ouija board. You'd think about what kind of food you want, and the table would move across the floor to it.”

Stephen Wright (American Actor and Writer, b.1955)

TIME:  6:52 PM
PLACE:  Steak ‘n Shake
SUBJECT:  Tile floor

We ate supper this evening at Steak ‘n Shake: DramaQueen’s choice.  My mom *hearted* this place big time.  Whenever we would go, she usually ordered the same thing - a double steakburger with onion and mustard, their tiny, crispy, shoestring French fries and a chocolate shake.  Come to think of it, when I was pregnant with DramaQueen, I would eat here almost every Friday night, usually accompanied by my sister.  Maybe that’s why DQ loves this place so much now.
