DQ and her cousin were supposed to go to a mixer at a high school in St. Louis Friday night with a friend of theirs. It had a “neon” theme and we made plans to go to the mall tonight to buy some neon clothing. However, the tickets were sold out. She still wanted to go mall anyway and whined asked until I gave in. *sigh* It ended up costing me dearly.

We had our first Brownie meeting this evening and started on the Home Scientist badge. The Soda Geyser didn’t have as big of an eruption as I had planned, but the girls were still impressed. DramaQueen helped me with the demonstration.

Dad joined us for supper at the Elks this evening. After we ate, MB and SD went swimming, I drove DQ to a party and then returned to join Dad on the deck by the bar and concession stand. The deck lights lit up the underside of the trees, illuminating them against the black sky.
