Neon Reflections (030/365)

IMG_0178_edited-1
“Neon shines through smokey eyes tonight
It's 2 A.M., I'm drunk again
And it's heavy on my mind

I could never love again
So much as I love you
Where you end, where I begin
Is like a river running through

Take my heart, take my eyes
I need them no more
If never again they fall
Upon the one I so adore...

Excuse me please, one more drink
Could you make it strong?
'Cause I don't need to think
She broke my heart
My Grace is Gone
Another drink and I'll be gone

One drink to remember
Then another to forget
I think of every day to find
A love like you again

TIME: 11:36 PM
PLACE: Cutter's Bar
SUBJECT: Neon light and ceiling

My cousin Lisa turns 50 on January 31st.  Her family had a surprise party for her at a local bar.  I arrived there a little after 7:30pm which was after the surprise.  It was nice meeting up with my Aunt and Uncle, and many cousins.  There was much reminiscing of the family vacations we took together when we were younger and my cousin Steven's tequila parties.  The party memories led to many of the party goers doing tequila shots, or as I like to call them "To Kill Me" shots.  I declined the shots as I have a Cub Scout workshop all day tomorrow.  I was fine with my 3 beers and 3 sodas that I drank during the course of the evening.  The bar had green neon tubing along the top back and it reflected off the tin ceiling.

Nice green color!
It wasn't the tequila ~ it was the zima shots that I drank along with the tequila shots. Not a good memory! I'll never drink zima again!

Robert - My cousin's husband thought it looked like a video game.

Christina - I don't think I've ever had a Zima, but I've learned my lesson with shots - Don't do them! LOL

Vicki - Thanks!

i feel like your pictures are what 365 is all about...it's actually quite inspiring, except for the part where my camera makes everything look like a 1st grader is taking the pictures!

breanna - Your phots do not look like a 1st grader took them! I take a TON of shots. About 1 in 50 looks decent, 1 in 100 good. My husband told me that digital is extremely cheap and to take many, many pics. Sometimes he's right. ;)
