Ringing in the New Year (001/365)

2009 01 01_0337quickedgeburn
“What can be said in New Year rhymes,
That's not been said a thousand times?
The new years come, the old years go,
We know we dream, we dream we know.
We rise up laughing with the light,
We lie down weeping with the night.
We hug the world until it stings,
We curse it then and sigh for wings.
We live, we love, we woo, we wed,
We wreathe our prides, we sheet our dead.
We laugh, we weep, we hope, we fear,
And that's the burden of a year.”

Ella Wheeler Wilcox (American poet and writer 1850-1919)

TIME: Just after midnight.
PLACE: The living room.
SUBJECTS: Oreo and StellaDella

They crashed on the chair scant minutes after the New Year's countdown. The excitement was just too much for them I suppose.

Awesome! I am doing another 365. This time mine will be one whole year of shots in black and white.

I'm so glad that you are enjoying what I do at Blissfully Domestic! So thrilled!

Mishelle - Thank you for the vote of confidence! I must admit, I'm totally terrified of not getting a decent shot each day. The pressure!
