SUBJECT: DramaQueen's new eyeglasses
DramaQueen's new eyeglasses came in today, so after school we went to the the eye doctor to get them. She is not happy about having to wear glasses all of the time and is campaigning for contacts. I'm thinking that junior high (in another year) will be a good time for contacts. I told her she looks adorable in her glasses. Little Miss Smartypants told me that of course I would say that to her because I'm her mother. Sigh. I am sooo not looking forward to the teenage years, they are not going to be easy.

I'm not her mom . . . and I think she looks cute in her new glasses. :)
I'm not her mother and I think she looks great! My kids used to say that to me too!
They're very cute! My son has been in glasses since he was 18 months (yes, that's right) old. He has no interest in contacts, but I'm thinking around 12 is a good age if they're interested.
Tell her she looks beautiful in those glasses - glasses make a fashion statement anymore!! Also, my daughter got contacts right at her 12th birthday - that's when the pediatric ophthalmologist said she'd be ready...
They look very cute on her. Wait until those teen years. lol
I think, too - she looks great! Wonderful glasses! My boy is wearing glasses, too!
Christina - I will pass that along to her!
Mari - I think I remember saying the same thing to my mother when growing up as well. What comes around...
ETW - Little ones in glasses are really just way too cute in my opinion. 12 seems like a good age for contact responsibility!
Dot O - That's what our eye doctor said as well! It's nice that they have our back. ;)
Rose - I am SO not ready for the teen years. DramaQueen didn't earn that name for nothing! LOL
bentonflocke - Both HH and I are near-sighted. I'm expecting all 3 of the kiddos to need some sort of eye correction.
What a wonderful photo of DramaQueen, and tell her that I said she looks beautiful in her new glasses, and I'm NOT her mother, so I have absolutely nothing to gain! I love that type of eyeglass, but alas, it does not look as cute on me....
And for you, I will just say "I'm sorry" as you approach her teenage years, although my fun was with a son, not a daughter, so I'm thinking you will have even more fun that I did??!!
Oz Girl - Thank you in for your future apologies LOL! It will be interesting to say the least. ;)
those are super duper cute...perfect for what's "in" but not "too in" these days. hooray!
breanna - She is getting used to wearing them all the time now...and she thinks she looks "OK" in them, thank goodness!
