Between her classes at SIUE today, DramaQueen picked up lunch and delivered it to me at work.
I stowed my leftovers in the new 2nd floor refrigerator to enjoy again for lunch tomorrow.

My mom used to roast nuts in the winter – pecans, walnuts and my very favorite, filberts (that’s what she always called hazelnuts) – She would place a bowl of them on the coffee table in the living room for us to eat.
In that tradition, I bought a small mixed bag of nuts at the grocery store on Sunday, roasted them and placed them on my coffee table in a wooden bowl.

I’m so glad the workday is over...the bad thing is that now it is almost dark when I leave the office.
I did get to appreciate the remainder of the sunset on my way to the car, so that’s one good thing today.

HH, SD and I went to Costco to buy cheap gasoline and look at computers as my laptop is about to shoot craps.
A cooling system error pops up each time I log on. It says I need to shut the computer down and take it in for service.
Pffft…It can’t tell me what to do! I have instead placed a small fan on my desk. It is blowing directly on the laptop. The fan seems to be keeping the computer cool just fine thankyouverymuch.
But that won’t last for long.
I do need to invest in a new PC.
We ended up not purchasing anything there, as DramaQueen’s boyfriend said he could build me a better one at a cheaper cost.
I’m going for it.

Just when I think I know all my Dad’s talents, he throws me a curve ball.
He crafted this wreath using just a hot glue gun, a foam base, pine cones, garland pieces, red berry stems and a battery powered LED light string.
I’m very impressed. - It’s totally Pintrest worthy!

HH and I were at the “Fixer-Upper” today trying to get more things done.
It always seems that we do a lot when we are there, yet we never seem to get any closer to having it completed. *Sigh*
DQ’s boyfriend and his father are helping by removing the old plaster from the brick walls in the basement, filling in the failed mortar and re-coating the wall.
It’s a HUGE help and necessary for the place to pass inspection by the city. I am VERY grateful for them taking on the task.

We pay the power company for an additional street light in the alley behind our house, mainly for safety reasons.
There is a side benefit of having the light; it makes the leaves on our “wonky” maple tree glow at night in the fall.
It’s something nice to view while I wait for the dogs to finish up outside before going to bed.

We (“we” meaning, me, StellaDella AND the HandsomeHusband) got ourselves pedicures tonight.
Yes, the Husband gets his toes done – someone has to touch his feet and it’s not going to be me.
For my color, I selected OPI’s “An Affair in Red Square”, a nice red for the upcoming holidays!
HH chose to forgo any polish and went natural instead. Good choice honey!

The thing I don’t like about falling back is that when I leave the office at 5 pm it is usually well on the way to being dark out.
Luckily for me, I am on the 7:30-4:30 Monday-Thursday and 7:30-1:30 on Friday this week. This means I get to still see the light all the way home.

Her black coat is turning white.
She has thrown out her right hip several times over the past couple of years and now walks with a limp.

My favorite thing about fall is the color change in all the leaves. This year it seems like it took a little bit longer for the trees to to ditch their summer green outfits to bright fall colors.

Full disclosure: I boiled 15 eggs. I had to eat one because otherwise I would not have symmetry in my egg carton. I cannot allow my eggs to be unbalanced.

I miss challenging myself to posting a photo a day.

My husband told me he missed my pictures as well and wished I would start posting.
