It's Skirt Weather (067/365)

2009 03 08 IMG_1885
"A good sermon should be like a woman's skirt: short enough to arouse interest but long enough to cover the essentials."

Msgr. Ronald Arbuthnott Knox (English theologian, priest and crime writer, 1888-1957)

TIME: 11:03 AM
PLACE: Passenger seat of our Jeep
SUBJECT: My skirt

Today our high reached 70+ degrees late this morning then fell to the 50's in the afternoon.  The family left the house a little before 11am to meet our friend June for lunch.  I was so excited that it was warm enough to put on one of my skirts.  I live in them in the spring and summer.  They are so comfortable and make me feel more feminine.  I even shaved my legs for the occasion!  (Was that TMI?)  This skirt is one of my shopping bargains found in the Target clearance rack 2 years ago (only $4.98!).  It's one of my favorites.

You are so funny... more TMI, I just shaved my legs the other day too, since it warmed up. Oh trust me they get shaved in the winter, just not as much! There's some TMI for ya! haha.... but like you, I prefer my comfy skirts in the spring/summer with my sandals, they are wonderful, aren't they? I love the fabric on this one, and what a bargain you got!

Oh my gosh, I love what your wrote - I think I'll share it with the pastor and vicar in my parish and maybe they'll shorten their homilies a bit.

Love the photo - so graceful and flowing.

ha ha ha, you are too funny!!! Great pattern on the skirt. Love the colors.
To answer the question you left about my new bird feeder...it said it was wicker, but it is a plastic wicker...I hope it lasts the season anyway.

Oz Girl - That wasn't TMI for me! ;) Skirts and sandals in the summer = much less sweat on the body than shorts!

Dot O - Msgr. Knox was a very smart man I say.

Sara G - Plastic wicker should last a nice long time...it's such a cute feeder!

I love your quote for today - it's true too! I never wear skirts - they're not comfortable for me!

Mari - I am in total agreement with the quote myself!

first of all, BEST QUOTE OF EVER!!!!!!

secondly, i'm a skirt-aholic. i would wear them constantly if it made sense. my mom says i refused to wear pants until the sixth grade. even now, it's my version of pj's for comfort, plus i just feel so much more confident in skirts.

have i mentioned how i love skirts?
