Fourth Of July (185/365)

“My God!  How little do my countrymen know what precious blessings they are in possession of, and which no other people on earth enjoy!”

Thomas Jefferson (American, third President of the United States (1801–1809), and the principal author of the Declaration of Independence-1776, 1743–1826)

TIME:  9:24 PM
PLACE:  East St. Louis Riverfront
SUBJECT:  Fireworks over the Arch

MonkeyBoy left for Boy Scout Camp this afternoon.  He will be there a week – his first time away from home for more than one night.  I’m sure he will do O.K.

As we have done for the past several years, we drove down to the Mississippi River to watch the fireworks over the Arch.  My sister, her husband and kids joined us this year.
