Striped Fields (289/365)

“To the attentive eye, each moment of the year has its own beauty, and in the same field, it beholds, every hour, a picture which was never seen before, and which shall never be seen again.”

Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803-1882), U.S. essayist, poet, philosopher. Nature, ch. 3 (1836, revised and repr. 1849)

TIME:  6:10 PM
PLACE:  Mine Haul Road
SUBJECT:  Cleared field

The new refrigerator arrived today…it is a whole 2 cubic feet larger than our old one.  It also feels larger because I tossed out all the fuzzy, green, rancid items when transferring food from the old fridge to the new one.  Always a good way to make more room in the refrigerator!  I couldn’t get an interesting photo of the new appliance, so after supper, I went for a drive to see what there was to photograph.  I drove some back country roads and found this field.  I liked the tracks that were left on the ground after the harvest.
