“It's not true I had nothing on, I had the radio on.”
Marilyn Monroe (American, Actress. 1926-1962)

PLACE: Minds Eye Information Service
SUBJECT: Microphone
The Cub Scouts went on a field trip this evening to the radio station at the Shrine to fulfill part of their communication badge requirements. This station was different than conventional stations, as their audience is people who are visually impaired or print disabled. They give out special preset radios that provide the access to their programs. Volunteers read daily newspapers, TV listings, grocery store ads, books, magazines and other printed material. The kids were able to record their voices and then heard them played back on the system at normal, slow and fast speeds. Needless to say, they all liked the speed where they sounded like chipmunks the best.
