I Love Autumn (307/365)

2010 11 03 IMG_4733w
"I like spring, but it is too young. I like summer, but it is too proud. So I like best of all autumn, because its tone is mellower, its colours are richer, and it is tinged with a little sorrow. Its golden richness speaks not of the innocence of spring, nor the power of summer, but of the mellowness and kindly wisdom of approaching age. It knows the limitations of life and its content."|

Lin Yutang (Chinese writer and inventor, 1895–1976)

TIME:  5:39 PM
PLACE:  Neighbor’s yard
SUBJECT:  Leaves

Why must the colorful fall leaves only hang around for such a short period of time?  I love the variety of hues that autumn brings and wish they could stick around much longer than they do.  All too soon the only thing we will see are the bare branches reaching for the sky.

I love autumn too. For me, it's the best time of year.

I love Autumn too and am sad that the leaves will soon be gone.
