“Will you walk a little faster?” said a whiting to a snail,
“There’s a porpoise close behind us, and he’s treading on my tail. See how eagerly the lobsters and the turtles all advance!
They are waiting on the shingle--will you come and join the dance? Will you, won’t you, will you, won’t you, will you join the dance?
Will you, won’t you, will you, won’t you, won’t you join the dance?

TIME: 8:20 PM
PLACE: South Side Park
SUBJECT: Snail in shell
An uneventful day. I was able to get the first coat of paint on the porch steps. I will get a second coat on tomorrow and a final coat on Friday. More than likely, they will need to be repainted in the next 3 years...that's the nature of the beast. Other than that - it was laundry today. MonkeyBoy had baseball practice tonight and I was able to sit on my behind and watch sans other children. It was rather peaceful. Afterwards, he and I went to the nearby park to search for a photo opportunity. MB and his sharp eyes found this snail for me to photograph.

Very cool picture. Great find!!
Great photo!!
Take care
Tell your son: Great find. Nice shot. Can't see the snail itself, but can see his antenna sticking out. I like the inclusion of the portion of Alice in Wonderland. Fits very nicely.
Glad your son pointed him out because he makes a great picture! I don't know how you always manage to find the right quote for you pictures but you do great!
Your son did a great job finding that snail. Like Mari, I think it is so cool that you find quotes to go with all of your photos!
Great depth of field -- love the focus on the texture of his shell. :)
