Recycling (274/365)

Bart: Oh, recycling is useless, Lisa. Once the sun burns out, this planet is doomed. You're just making sure we spend our last days using inferior products.

The Simpsons, “The Old Man And Lisa,” Television, 20 Apr 1997.

TIME:  2:28 PM
PLACE:  Recycling Center
SUBJECT:  Crushed aluminum cans

After the soccer games (SD’s team tied…her coach called her the “Steel gate” in the goal and MB’s team won 5-2…he didn’t let any goals through during his time in the net either) and a trip to the grocery store, we stopped at the recycling center on the way home to dispose of the bag of aluminum cans I had in the back of the Jeep for the past 10 days.  We had 12 pounds and received $6.60 – woo hoo!  I didn’t get to keep the money for long.  I ended up relinquishing the cash to the oldest daughter as I dropped her off at a football game this evening.

Awesome! A way to let other people know about your recycling activities is to snap a picture of yourself while at work. Here's the application for doing just that.
